Are you considering buying a slim sharkskin suit?

Are you considering buying a slim sharkskin suit? Regardless of what kind of suit you buy there are things you can do that will make your suit look great on you. The difference between a properly suited man and an ill-fitted man comes down to the details. The following tips will help you look your best when you are suited up.

Cuffs
Ideally you want the shirt beneath your jacket to poke out about half and inch beyond the cuff. This goes for cuff links too.

Tie
When you tie your tie it should have a dimple. You can also wear a tie with an inverted dimple.

The Gig Line
The gig line is the line that is created by the alignment of you button-down shirt, your belt, your buckle and your pants fly. They should all be in a straight line.

Pants
The bottom of your pants leg needs to end at the middle of the rubber on the heel of your shoe. If necessary a tailor can adjust your pants to meet this measurement.

Socks
You want to pick a sock that is one shade different in color from your suit pants. Only an amateur would wear anything different.

Shoes
You should always wear black shoes with everything but khaki.

Shoulders
If your blazer is too wide in the shoulders it can look awkward. You want a jacket that is more fitted to your body shape.

Color
It is not uncommon for men to go straight for a black suit. That is fine, but it also okay to go for some color. A blue blazer works for semi-formal events and meetings.
