Men's Tuxedos

Gearing up for an upcoming wedding or a formal event? This calls for wearing men’s tuxedos! We are offering you a brief guide on the popular tuxedo styles which will help you determine the look that will suit you best. We show you the popular bow styles and jacket styles with a brief description of who the style is likely to suit the most. Ties which are acceptable at black tie events come in several forms and styles with their thickness and the ends of these serve as a point of distinction.

Men's Tuxedos

Pointed
This is regarded the perfect choice for men who have sharp features and is known to complement wing collars and the points of peak lapels.

Straight-End
Straight-end is known to complement smaller men and those who have thinner faces and necks.

Semi-Butterfly
Semi-butterfly is largely regarded a neutral style and complements most face structures. This is a slim and modern version of the butterfly style.

Butterfly
Butterfly shape is known to complement men with round and large faces and is widely hailed as a timeless classic.

There are no hard and fast rules for selecting a tie to pair with your tuxedo and is by and large a matter of personal preference.

The Tuxedo Style: The Single and the Double-Breasted Jacket
The single-breasted jacket is widely hailed as the classical all-purpose style which fits most body shapes. A double-breasted jacket complements taller men owing to its boxy cut and shape. Men who are under six feet tall are advised to stick to single-breasted jackets.

A common mistake when wearing tuxedos are the pleats facing down as they are supposed to be worn up. Tuxedos, as a rule, are eveningwear. However, the invitation may also serve as a guide and an event invitation which requests black–tie even in the daytime would call for you to wear the black tie irrespective of the time of the day.
